For medium-to-thick hair, Hill suggests massaging an oil-based pre-shampoo treatment through your roots and ends before washing your hair. “You’re protecting those bonds with an oil that has a molecular structure small enough to hydrate hair strands from the inside and fill in any gaps in the hair cuticle,” she says. Then follow with a lightweight conditioner to add slip and moisture without leaving your hair weighed down. These products were developed in Germany after extensive research by leading dermatologists and aesthetic physicians to achieve the highest concentration of active ingredients to produce uniformly smooth, glowing skin. Because every hair botox treatment differs by salon, it’s impossible to say whether the ingredients will have an effect on your hair color, but it’s unlikely.

Book a consultation

When you go in for a hair-botox treatment, you’ll have a consultation with your stylist to determine the right treatment for your hair type (whether that’s a formula that’s lower in proteins, or lighter-weight, or more moisturizing). Once you get in the chair, your stylist will shampoo your hair, then massage the treatment through your roots to ends, letting it sit anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes. Your stylist may even have you sit under red light, steam, or a heated dryer to encourage deeper penetration of the formula. “You can’t restructure your curl pattern without breaking the bonds in your hair, and conditioning treatments like hair botox cannot do that,” says Hill. At most, your curls could look stretched out or lank if the formula is too thick and greasy for your hair, but the effect is only temporary until you shower.

Some people confuse hair botox treatments with keratin because the end results can be similar. Many keratin treatments feature formaldehyde though, which reduces frizz and straightens strands chemically—versus hair botox working with your hair’s natural texture for a more subtle effect. “While keratin is often used to straighten and de-frizz hair, especially thick curly hair, hair rotox will not change the texture of your hair,” says Ciambrone.

Yes, hair botox is good for your hair, just like all deep-conditioning treatments—both at home and in the salon—are good for your hair. Hair botox is an umbrella term used in some salons as a new way to market professional deep-conditioning treatments, which can help smooth, hydrate, and strengthen your hair, especially after a heat or color treatment. Because these conditioning treatments can leave your hair somewhat smoother and softer, similar to the softening effects of Botox injections for your fine lines (again, the name is all a marketing move).

70s Hairstyles: Trending & Iconic Styles for Women

70's hair for women

The soft curve of side-swept bangs in a swooping shape across the forehead is a great way to put your dazzling eyes front and center. Mix in a little extra volume at the roots and on the sides for flattering height, and you’ve got the makings of a stunning style. The heavy layering throughout the bob adds lots of texture to the style. Here, the look is styled with the ends flipped up and down for volume and dimension.

The 70s Inspired Bob

The afro puff, also known as “curly puff,” features volumized curls piled high on top of the head. Something like a mix between an afro and pigtails, these rounded puffs are playful and manageable. Then, brush out the natural curls gathered in the elastic to create a soft, fluffy texture. You can also accessorize the curly puffs with headbands, scrunchies, or scarves to add flair. As we age, prioritizing hair health and simplicity becomes paramount, making low-maintenance styles a preferred option for most.

Long Espresso Waves

Made famous by celebs like Bridgette Bardot, this long, parted fringe is a quintessential look of the era. Regardless of your hair texture or length, a set of curtain bangs frames your face and adds some fullness to your locks. To maintain the look at home, all you’ll need is a round brush and a blow dryer to shape them to either side. The flapper bob of the 1920s returned in the 1970s and lingered throughout the decade. Chin-length, straight hair with bangs looked great on a small face with thin straight hair.

#3: Soft Medium-Length Layered Side-Parted Hair

Have your stylist use texturizing sheers around the edges for a more feminine touch. This blonde shaggy haircut with cute wispy bangs will look and work the best on women who are in their twenties. There’s just something about this wispy, carefree ‘do that’s flattering on just about anyone, making us wish we could travel back to the ‘70s to rock this look.

70's hair for women

Black and African-American women in the 70s adopted these hairstyles drawing from their roots. They adopted the natural curls of their hair instead of trying to fit the dominant norm as an expression of freedom and revolution. Do you have curly hair but are afraid of trying out any of the 70s female hairstyles?

Short Salt-and-Pepper Cut with Wispy Layers

The blunt fringe is styled with the ends just curled under for a soft, feminine look. The best hairstyles for women over 70 cover a range of looks and styles from casual to elegant. You’ve been styling your hair for 70-plus years, so you know what you like. Beehive is an iconic hairstyle that is left high and up, very voluminous, and piled up in a conical form. Beehive 70’s hair looks great on younger ladies who wish to stand out.

Or perhaps you’re more likely to be seen wearing hairstyles that are a little more “done up” with heat-styled curls, choppy layers, or a sleek, straight texture. The best hairstyles for women over 70 are flattering, simple, and convey a touch of sophistication and poise. We’re sharing 20 of our favorite looks for ladies 70+, from easy-to-style short looks to gorgeous bobs and shoulder-length styles. I know you already have been thinking about chopping your hair into a shag, but there are so many more looks from that decade to pine over. You might think of the '70s and only picture Farrah Fawcett, but below, we've got 20 different women–with different looks–to lust over. For all the inspo you could ever need, find the best '70s hairstyles that you'll want to bring to the salon for your next chop. The Afro was fashioned into a halo around the head and was worn by both men and women.

Some iconic 70s hairstyles for women include the shag haircut, feathered hair, curtain bangs, and the afro. These styles represented the fashion and beauty trends of the decade and are still recognized and celebrated today. As women age, many tend to gravitate towards shorter hairstyles, particularly due to factors like hair thinning and damage.

Style your bangs by directing them up at the roots and angling downward with a brush while you dry. Finish with a light pomade or wax to make the ends piece together if needed. Brush your hair straight back and gather it into a ponytail at the nape of your neck. Secure it with an elastic and braid the ponytail in a simple 3-strand braid.

Face-framing layers can spice up your cut while adding length at the same time. Women often look for a shorter hair style for their silver hair. A chin-length bob with long layers keeps the weight off your neck but allows for a fuller-looking style. With weightless layers and movement, your hair will style with little effort.

Once done, apply a setter to make your look last and turn some heads out there. All you have to do is let your curly or kinky hair naturally grow out. The length can range from short to long, which would give you wide options to choose from. The hairstyles from the 70s gained popularity because of the diversity of styles resulting from experimentations. Adding gold chains to your hairs is something like this – an experiment went right.

After washing your hair with shampoo and conditioner, use your fingers to flatten from the roots and pull straight down as you blow-dry. Once the hair is fully dry, use a comb down the middle of your scalp to create a center part. Then, use a 1-inch ceramic curling or iron brush to bend the tips of of the bangs outward.

Tapered cuts may seem a little intimidating because of how short they are, but if you can’t rock it now that you’re living your best life, when can you? Keep bangs and hair at the nape of the neck short, and the hair around the crown long and voluminous. In case you are absolutely comfortable with gray hair over 70, try out this fluffy white pixie. If you have thin or fine hair, a hairstyle like this will bring back the volume you want.

Designing smarter data tables Data tables are hard. There are many by Unn Krigul UX Collective

design with tables

The success of future industries will combine advanced data collection with better user experience, and the data table comprises much of this user experience. A hover-over could be helpful because you are showing the users where they are and what they are about to click. Meanwhile, with pagination, your data could take some time to load once the user opens each page.

Data Table Design

This data table example allows users to apply multiple filters to find exactly what they need. These inline filters are especially helpful for large datasets where users can eliminate irrelevant content. Large datasets require horizontal scrolling to accommodate many columns. UX designers must decide which content is most important to users to prioritize what is always visible and what users must scroll to view. UX designers must arrange and group columns according to their relevance.

design with tables

Visualize table data with charts

Oval tables are interesting tables that come in a range of geometric sizes and ratios and may accommodate two to twelve individuals. Oval tables, due to their curves, are typically utilized as standalone pieces in dining structures and cannot be readily merged with other tables. Square-sized tables are among the most popular shapes and functional tables with seating for two to twelve people. It can even shrink to the size of round tables while still covering a large area.

Row to Details

With these insights from our users, here are the main things I addressed when developing a design system for text-heavy data tables. Good data tables are indispensable for websites or mobile applications. When designed well, tables enable users to easily navigate the data and find the exact information they need, thus helping you sell your physical or digital products. However, designing data tables can be complicated and challenging, especially for beginners. In this article, we outline best practices for designing great data tables.

Resizeable columns

This helps make the data easily scannable, readable and comparable. These numbers should be right aligned to help users identify number size. There were many examples of aluminium products on show in Milan this year, as the material becomes increasingly popular as a more recycle-friendly alternative to plastic.

What Makes a Good Data Table?

Pine is frequently less expensive than oak, but it is also lighter and less durable. If you wish to have a furniture piece that is sure to last for a long time, solid wood would be an excellent choice. Solid wood tables could be polished, repainted, or sanded, adding long-term quality to the table you are purchasing. This style is considered identical to mid-century modern in the way that it employs sharp lines and leans toward simplicity. Nevertheless, a genuine Scandinavian aesthetic employs white and light hues and infrequently employs fabric or particularly fluffy textiles.

Choose the row style that best suits your interface

Trestles are often constructed of two sloped legs reinforced by horizontal joists, resulting in a movable, strong structure. Trestles are originally made of three legs and employed to make robust tripods as well as stools. Height-adjustable legs are just about as durable as non-adjustable legs and stay steady even after multiple height alterations. Adjustable legs may increase the height of your desk by 4 inches or more.

Whether it's a light oak for a bright, airy room or a dark wood dining table that brings depth and richness, there's a shade and style to suit any home decor. Likewise, if you have a lighter sofa and chair combination, choosing a solid block coffee table/ottoman combination will help ground the space and create focus. When in doubt, take pictures of your pieces, print them, clip them together so you can see how they look together, and play mix-and-match with the options you’ve narrowed down to. HTML tables allow web developers to arrange data into rows and columns. A table is a representation of data arranged in rows and columns.

Order Columns According to Data Relevance

Searching, sorting, and filtering are almost mandatory when we are talking about tables. As a designer, we need to have all scenarios covered, so you have to understand user behaviors properly and the results they are expecting to see before you make any design decisions. When it comes to mobile, infinite scrolling also has some advantages. Normally, pagination buttons are small, and fingers and thumbs are not as precise as the cursor, which could lead the users to a missed tap.

This CRM for Recruitment Example is specially made for a CRM project and shows you how to present the Recruitment information in a good way. Dashboard Data Grid Example is shared by Data Grid on Dribbble and showcases how the designers display the user and website backend data on the Dashboard page. A clear Gif image is also provided to show you how to create a quick view for a long table. Those tables are an unsung hero in UX design, where each cell and row can tell a story, and every design choice is a verse. Pagination is about serving it up just right—not too much, not too little. Give users control over the show—options to select their serving size are a nice touch.

Regular picnic tables might be difficult to use, particularly for people in wheelchairs, but there are several designs for accessible picnic tables available on the market. Such tables are most typically found in restaurants that offer informal eating options. They are also occasionally utilized as outdoor furniture or as an element of a bar’s outdoor dining section. For small houses, some types of dining tables can accommodate only two to four people, whereas, in huge houses, they can accommodate six to eight people.

Using softer shades of black makes it less intense, reducing eye strain. Use a featured section to highlight important information in the table. This could be the best value plan or a popular element among a list for example. Otherwise, the column data will not be aligned with each other. We’ll navigate through the realms of HTML table elements and CSS table styles, conquering the peaks of accessibility standards, and delving into the subtleties of data presentation. Tables, the silent heroes of web design, carry the weight of information with grace and precision.

church stage design ideas

Be true to your style, pick one main focal point, and think about what best serves the congregation. Having great lighting is everything when it comes to stage designs with a wow factor. The stage design ideas below are great for smaller churches or auditoriums. Now that you know the different types of lights, you’ve got more options to think about and that is colors and textures.

Fresh Advent Sermon Series Ideas

This ensures that everyone in the congregation can hear the message clearly, regardless of their seating location. One way to improve acoustics is to incorporate sound-absorbing materials on the stage or surrounding areas. These materials can help minimize echoes and reverberations, leading to better sound quality throughout the worship space. Additionally, positioning speakers and microphones strategically on the stage can optimize sound projection and ensure that every word is heard clearly. Budget, time, and manpower will influence the feasibility of certain stage design ideas. It is essential to find a balance between creativity and practicality to ensure the successful execution of the chosen design.

Tips for creating your own church stage designs

These designs are pleasing to the eyes and are the exact proportions between each lighting and hanging prop. Designing stages for small churches is just as fun as creating for larger churches. Because each cardboard square is tilted in alternating directions, the light that bounces off gives varying textures and depths.

Flow and Transitions: Seamlessly Connecting Elements

For example, a wooden cross could become a focal point on the stage, reminding worshippers of the sacrifice and teachings of Jesus. A welcoming and inviting ambience is paramount in creating a sense of community and fostering a deeper connection among congregants. Church stage design can contribute significantly to this by creating spaces that are warm, inclusive, and accessible. Another stage design that can utilize lights to create some beautiful effects is using corrugated plastic. Like the PVC piper option corrugated plastic is a pretty simple material, but paired with a great lighting set up it can become something truly special.

You can also paint the wood or cover it with foam or fabric to add more color and dimension. For example, churches with youth ministries often host events like camping during the summer. If you are on a limited budget, you could look for a second-hand LED wall or shop for deals. Like block lettering, script lettering gives you the customization to put words on your stage.

With these two technologies there’s a lot you can do to change the mood and feel of the stage. Movable chalkboard panels offer an ever-changing visual element, allowing messages or artwork to be updated regularly. Their hand-drawn nature adds a personal and organic touch to the church stage, reflecting the creativity of the community. The panels can easily be repositioned to accommodate different stage layouts and sermon series themes. Elaborate and intricate stage designs may look great and professionally made, but they usually take time and effort to assemble.

church stage design ideas

Not only does this save money, but it also fosters a sense of community and ownership within the church. Minimalist and contemporary designs have gained popularity in recent years due to their clean lines, simplicity, and focus on essential elements. These designs often incorporate neutral colors, sleek materials, and minimalistic set pieces, creating a visually uncluttered stage that allows the message and symbolism to take center stage. Minimalist and contemporary designs can create a sense of calm and serenity, allowing worshippers to focus on their spiritual journey without distractions. Church stage design also plays a role in fostering a sense of community and unity among the congregation.

They also wanted to prioritize a visually appealing background for their worship sets. Also, your church stage designs should never take the focal point away from worship and the teachers and speakers. Props can be used to enhance the overall look of your stage, and to create a sense of realism and immersion. While a picture is worth a thousand words, video has the ability to captivate and immerse parishioners like nothing else. Not only that, video allows the church to share video clips, create original content that speaks to today’s congregation. Video equipment available today allows churches to add video at practically any price point.

Fabrics and materials can be used creatively to add texture, depth, and visual interest to your church stage design. From flowing curtains to geometric panels, the use of different fabrics and materials can create a visually captivating environment. By combining different textures and colors, you can add a sense of dimension and create a stage design that is visually engaging. In addition to space considerations, lighting plays a crucial role in stage design. Proper lighting can set the mood and atmosphere of the worship service, enhancing the overall experience for congregants. In a small church setting, lighting can be used to highlight specific areas of the stage, such as the pulpit or musical instruments, creating a focal point for the congregation’s attention.

An LED video wall is the perfect technology for churches to create a visually stunning stage design that will leave their congregants in awe. With an LED video wall, you can create dynamic and engaging visuals that will help to enhance the overall look of your stage. Incorporating a water feature adds a serene atmosphere to the church stage, engaging the congregation in a multisensory worship experience. The gentle sound of water cascading into a reflective pool promotes a tranquil and contemplative environment.

Seasonal themes and decorations offer an opportunity to create a dynamic and ever-changing stage design. By adapting the stage to reflect different holidays and special occasions throughout the year, small churches can infuse their worship services with renewed energy and anticipation. From Christmas and Easter to Thanksgiving and beyond, consider incorporating elements that capture the essence of each season.

Set pieces and props are physical elements that contribute to the overall visual impact of the church stage design. These can include items such as furniture, plants, artwork, or symbolic objects that align with the theme or message of the service. Set pieces can be used to create different levels and dimensions on the stage, adding depth and visual interest. Props, on the other hand, can be employed to enhance storytelling or create visual metaphors that resonate with the congregation.

Easter is about the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead after he was crucified and buried. There have been some churches that created elaborate set design of structures where Jesus was buried to really give viewers the feeling of being there. Through the use of projection, churches can achieve the similar effects by projecting on the backdrop. Themes could include breaking free similar to a bird soaring high or other similar elements. Stepping away from technology for a moment you can also create a background with materials such as pipe and drape, stage backdrop panels or practically any type of material you can get. We’ve even seen the use of wood pallet stage design that provided a rustic yet modern look to the chancel.

As lights are the elements the design team controls, it is up to them which parts of the stage are highlighted and dimmed. They either excite them during a praise song or give them a solemn and calm atmosphere during the prayer. Layered lighting is one of the ways to create dimension and depth on the church stage. Partnered with low lighting across the stage, you can set the mood and ambiance for the whole scene. Don’t forget to place lights on the floor and ceiling for a seamless effect.

2000 Square Foot House Cleaning Cost Calculator 2024 Prices to clean a 2000 square foot house in your area

how much to clean a house

To make homemade laundry detergent, start by combining 8 cups boiling water, 2 cups of borax, and 2 cups of baking soda. Then dilute 1 cup of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide with 2 cups of water and add it to the mixture. To personalize your scent, add up to 50 drops of your favorite essential oil.

By Number of Bedrooms

Deep cleaning usually takes twice as long as a standard house cleaning. While much will depend on the size of your home and its level of cleanliness, you can expect a deep cleaning to cost $200-$500. You may benefit from hiring a professional move-out cleaning service, depending on your budget, time frame and whether you will be getting a deposit back. But if you’ve had your house regularly deep-cleaned, or if your landlord will charge you for cleaning anyway, you can save costs by DIY-ing it.

Hardwood Floor Cleaner

Conversely, homes with more square footage will likely be more expensive to clean. The average rate of $170 is a good baseline for customers to use, but a better estimate can be made after all cleaning preferences are decided. Some factors that go into calculating the going rate for house cleaning include the size of the home, the type of establishment, and the tasks that will be performed, among others. Plugging these values into a house cleaning cost calculator may provide customers with a rough estimate. Before the cleaners arrive to deep clean your home, it is best to ensure that the areas you want to be cleaned are ready and accessible. Making sure your home is as neat and tidy as possible frees up the cleaner’s time to get right to work on deep scrubbing and cleaning all the surfaces in your home.

Deeper cleaning tasks involve removing cobwebs, deep cleaning floors, vacuuming upholstered furniture, and polishing wood accents. Many attics spaces are converted into traditional rooms, such as offices and bedrooms. Each bedroom costs around $35 to $60 each to clean, with the final price determined by the size of the room and how many pieces of furniture are located in the space. It involves the housekeeper moving furniture pieces around to get rid of dust bunnies. For general cleaning of a bedroom, only visible surfaces are cleaned by the service provider.

Cost to Hire a Housekeeper for Deep Cleaning

Charging by the hour can be a good option for newer house cleaning businesses. If you’re just starting out, charging by the hours helps you ensure you get paid adequately for your time. You can also use this information to help you gauge how much it costs to clean a home of a certain size, if you decide to switch to area-based pricing later on. Many start at a base rate of $75-$130 and then add on at least $25 per room and $10 per bathroom. Some cleaners go by a flat hourly rate, others charge by room and square footage. Carving out time to do both the big and small cleaning tasks around the house can cause homeowners and renters unnecessary stress and a loss of enjoyable time spent with family and friends.

how much to clean a house

Factors that impact the cost include the length of time between cleanings, the size of the tank, any needed repairs, and aeration of the drain field. Putting off this important task for too long can lead to much more expensive problems, which is why regular septic tank cleaning is recommended by manufacturers and septic system companies. While regular cleaning can be done once a week or once a month, deep cleaning is less frequent. Both services usually cover every room in the house, but deep cleaning targets the deep grime and dirt in the home and is usually done once every six months to once a year.

You’ll pay more for large spaces and it’s considered a deep clean, meaning it’ll take longer and use more chemicals. A deep clean usually requires more time and chemicals and hits more areas than a routine maid service. On average, you’ll spend $0.05 to $0.10 per square foot for house cleaning. For one time cleanings, like cleaning after hoarding and move outs, you might spend as much as $0.20 per square foot. The best way to estimate your per visit cost comes from square footage. Employing a full-time cleaner to provide daily cleaning can cost between $1,200 and $3,000,.

On average, the system needs to be cleaned about every 3 to 5 years. But the amount of usage the septic tank gets can affect how often homeowners have to schedule professional septic tank cleaners. For instance, homes with a large tank but only a few residents may need less frequent cleaning.

Select your Cleaning Service project

It's also better for the health of the cleaners who work directly with the products every day. You may pay slightly higher prices if you opt to work with a company that is solely green or that offers green products as an option. Deep house cleaning takes 2 to 5 hours, depending on the size of the home and the number of cleaners on the job. If you like to live green and minimize your impact on the environment, ask your cleaner to use eco-friendly products made with natural and safe ingredients. In many cases, you can ask a house cleaner to use the organic products you provide. Not only is this better for the planet, but it also results in fewer chemicals and toxins in and around your home.

One cleaner can often complete a standard cleaning in a single-family home in 3-5 hours. Minimum wage alone in Los Angeles, effective July 1, 2023, is $16.78. Compared to other cities in California, such as San Diego (6.5% higher on average), Los Angeles is still not the highest. If the septic tank is clogged or otherwise damaged, it’s even more important to have a professional clean and repair the tank, drain lines, or drain field. The average homeowner doesn’t have the skills or access to the tools or equipment needed to remove the sludge from the septic tank and contain it until it can be properly disposed of.

Move-in or move-out cleaning costs $150 to $500, depending on the home size. A move-out cleaning is essential when selling your home or to get your rent deposit back. On top of a deep clean, move-out cleaning may include other services like cleaning out kitchen appliances, cleaning kitchen cabinets, and polishing floors. House cleaning services cost $25 to $75 per hour per cleaner or about $30 to $50 per room. Home with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms costs $110 to $320 to clean or about $0.06 to $0.16 per square foot. However, homes with young children, pets, or residents with many allergies may find that it’s necessary more frequently.

Individual cleaners or independent contractors can offer slightly lower house cleaning prices than professional cleaning companies, though they may not offer as many assurances as big companies. Prices will vary based on the size of the house and the time it takes to clean it. Because full-house deep cleaning services are based at least partly on time, the local cost of labor can have a significant impact on the cost of cleaning services. This isn’t something that the customer has any real control over, but it’s worth noting that it’s part of the budgeting.

They will consider both full bathrooms, half baths and three-quarter baths when preparing a quote or putting together an invoice of their cleaning services. On average, apartment cleaning prices range from $75 to $135, depending on the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. For a larger 3-bedroom 2-bathroom apartment, the cost starts at $135 per hour for general cleaning. Cleaning services may charge a flat rate, hourly, or per square foot.

Customers can leave this to companies who specialize in taking out piles of trash or junk. The average cost is between $50 to $361, depending on the amount of junk being hauled from the house or yard. There are many options for cleaning supplies that meet a range of requirements, whether the products are allergy-friendly, pet safe, and more. Eco-friendly cleaning supplies may be safer to use, accommodating both pets and homeowners with allergies while providing an easy way to be more environmentally conscious.

Customers may consider prioritizing certain rooms for professional cleaning depending on how often the room is used in order to keep costs manageable. Basements and attics are among the most costly rooms to have cleaned as they tend to have a larger square footage than standard rooms. Attic cleaning costs up to $170, and a standard basement clean is about $130. Get your carpet deep cleaned at least once a year, more if you have heavy foot traffic. You can do this task yourself to save some money, but avoid these carpet cleaning mistakes.

Colors have a profound impact on our emotions and can greatly influence the worship experience. By understanding the principles of color psychology, you can create a lighting design that complements the message of the sermon and enhances the overall mood of the congregation. For example, warm colors like red and orange can evoke feelings of passion and energy, while cool colors like blue and green can create a sense of calm and tranquility. Small church stages often serve multiple purposes beyond worship services alone. By designing versatile spaces, small churches can use their stages for community events, functions, and other gatherings.

Creative Ways to Highlight Sermon Series with Church Stage Design

These elements not only enhance the visual appeal but also reinforce the thematic messages throughout the seasons. There aren’t many limitations to designing the church stage, as this trend is still new. The great thing about this trend is it’s a team effort with your fellow members. The Ribs and Arches, the Rock Boxes, and the Towering Lights design are great examples of perfectly spaced elements. These designs combine bright lights and negative spaces to create dimension and depth on stage.

Inspiring Worship through Nature: Incorporating Natural Elements into Church Stage Designs

Using stage lighting gives a modern yet simple look to the church stage. The best church stage design can help to set the tone and prepare people to worship. It creates an opportunity for a visual atmosphere that mirrors what happens with the music and message on the church platform. Live plants and greenery can add a touch of life and vibrancy to your church stage design. Whether it’s potted plants, hanging vines, or flower arrangements, incorporating live plants can create a sense of freshness and beauty. Plants not only provide visual interest but can also improve indoor air quality and create a calming atmosphere.

Consider incorporating elements such as comfortable seating, warm lighting, and personalized touches that reflect the church’s values and identity. Intentional church stage design can foster a sense of unity, participation, and connection among the congregation. By creating an environment that encourages engagement, churches can enhance the worship experience and facilitate a deeper spiritual connection. The mood of a worship service can vary greatly depending on the theme, message, or season.

LED Lights and Walls for Church Stages

If you are really stretched for budget you can still create a stunning church stage. Some of the most cost-effective ways would be through the use of fabrics and lighting. Think about fabric strips coming down from the ceiling with inexpensive lights on them. These two things alone can make a church stage come alive and capture the attention of the congregation. Since then, Jonathan began researching and sharing church stage design ideas while inviting others all around the world to share their favorite designs as well. Kitchen services generally cost between $65 and $150, depending on the depth required. General tasks include wiping off appliances, wiping counters, polishing sinks, cleaning windows, and sweeping and mopping floors. Deep cleaning involves taking care of backsplashes, appliances, cleaning and polishing cabinets, around and under appliances, and scrubbing the floor. Companies charge $30 to $80 to clean each bedroom averaging about 220 sq.ft.

Finally, outline your terms and conditions, including payment expectations and any guarantees or warranties offered. This will not only cover you legally, but it will also help your customer know what to expect. The average cost of house cleaning on a one-time basis is $120 to $280. A one-bedroom apartment costs $75 to $200, while a 2-bed 2-bath home ranges from $95 to $225.

While it may look beautifully lush, extra-green grass likely means that the septic tank needs repairs or the drain field is compacted. If sewage ends up overflowing into the yard, cleaning it quickly is essential for protecting the yard and residents from coming into contact with it. Sewage overflow cleanup costs between $7 and $15 per square foot and is best done by a professional who has proper protective gear and is trained to clean up contaminated waste. Quickly repairing a damaged septic tank or drain field is essential to ensure the home’s occupants can use the system safely without risk of contamination. A damaged septic tank or drain field allows contaminated wastewater to leach into uncontained areas, which can be dangerous to pets and humans. If the septic line is damaged, repairs typically average $150 to $3,800.

Apartment Cleaning Prices

Cobwebs in the corners will be dusted away, and the cleaners will focus on removing dirt from molding and baseboards. The cost for this type of cleaning depends on what the customer is looking for. The deep house cleaning costs for this service will vary based on the services requested.

Type of Cleaning Task

Cleaning companies use different methods to determine the cost of a deep clean. Some charge by the hour, per cleaner, while others charge per square foot. Some start with the basic cost of a general clean, then add on specific costs for individual deep cleaning services.

Depending on the home, it can include carpet cleaning, washing walls and baseboards, and other unique requests. For a normal, regular cleaning, start by charging hourly (with a two-hour minimum) and then charge extra for the first time to perform a deep clean. As your house cleaning business grows and you get more experience under your belt, you’ll likely become more efficient. Some clients are aware of this, which makes them wary of hourly pricing. Besides, many people like the guarantee of knowing how much a total job is going to cost — rather than having to guess at how many hours you’re going to work.

Deep Cleaning House Cost by Frequency

This means no matter the home’s size or tricky layout, the customer is charged one base price. The average cost of house cleaning on a one-time basis is $120 to $280.1 Of course, you can adjust this price based on whether it’s a regular home cleaning or a deep cleaning. Most house cleaning companies charge by the hour or by number of bedrooms and bathrooms, but some charge by the square foot.

So many different materials, including wood, tile, steel, vinyl, and natural or fabricated countertops, mean many different approaches, and the kitchen is also just a messy place. This depends on the size of the house, but most jobs can be completed within two to three hours. The more often you have your house cleaned, the faster the process will be because there should be less dirt and grime to get through.

What is included in a basic house cleaning?

Bedrooms typically fall under a standard or deep clean package, but the more bedrooms you have, the more it will cost. The Cleaning Authority charges $75 to $90 per hour for two workers and uses eco-friendly cleaning products. However, most cleaning individuals or companies will not charge on a per square feet basis, but per hour, the number of workers required, and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. Costing between $200 and $400 per visit, move-in/move-out services prepare a home for the next homeowner. If you are moving into a new home or out of one, you can request this specialized service. Similar to a deep clean in many ways, this kind of clean covers the entire property, including the spots that might usually be covered up by furniture or appliances.

Customers will want to check with local companies that deep clean houses for specifics, because every company will have its own pricing for this service. Attic cleaning costs are similar to basements, ranging from $150 to $500. General tasks include light dusting, polishing windows, and cleaning floors.

Shower doors may be descaled, and the grout scrubbed to remove grime and mildew. Caulk around the tub and toilet may also be cleaned to remove any mildew stains. During the deep clean, neglected areas will be targeted, such as light fixtures and vent fans. All permanent and non-permanent fixtures will be disinfected in the bathroom, including toilets, wastebaskets, and countertops.

Hits and Misses on a Hawaii Cruise on NCL's Pride of America

Have in mind that not all specialty restaurants are open on embarkation day. The two MDRs, Skyline and Liberty, are one above the other, both located at the aft. These carry through Americana themes, with Liberty paying homage to American patriotism and Skyline serving as a Deco-version of NYC. There are pianos in both main dining rooms, and occasionally a musician provides background music for dinner.

Cruising Hawaii and Renting a Car

Because of that, it is able to offer Hawaii cruises that sail roundtrip from Honolulu -- a sharp contrast from other cruise lines that must sail Hawaiian cruises from the U.S. mainland in order to satisfy American cabotage laws. Overall, the food was edible, but far from being memorable. The waitstaff seemed to want to provide a good experience, but they also seemed very stretched trying to take care of so many other guests at the same time.

Plus, our Main Dining Rooms offer a menu that changes daily, Chef's Signature Dishes and carefully selected wine recommendations, guaranteeing a different culinary adventure with every visit. When each Hawaiian island offers so much to see and do for a week-long land vacation, how do you best spend your limited hours at each port? We’ve gone on many land vacations in Hawaii and we’ve taken the NCL Pride of America cruise of Hawaii, so we know Hawaii very, very well. As such, we’d like to share some thoughts and suggestions on the top tours to do in each port. And the third difference, directly related to the second, is cost. You’ll likely pay a much higher per night cruise fare on the Pride of America than other ships that sail to/from Hawaii.

Hilo – Big Island

Americans make up the majority of passengers followed by Australians (thanks in part to Australia's proximity to Hawaii). You'll also be sailing with British citizens, as well of people of Hispanic and Asian heritage. Pride of America's class is unique as no other similar ships have been built. Her Inaugural cruise was down the US East Coast and lasted from the 18th of June to the 24th. During the voyage, the vessel was a background for the day time TV show "Live with Regis and Kelly".

New – we’ve compiled a detailed list of what to see and do on a cruise at each Hawaiian port. The ship provides soap and shampoo in dispenser containers. It’s nice that you don’t have to worry about individual plastic containers and that’s a win for the environment.

This is the only stop on the cruise where a tender boat is utilized. The short stop POA makes off the coast of Kailua-Kona is wonderful. The views are spectacular and the historic town is a nice place to stroll for a bit.

This Norwegian ship provides an exceptional Aloha State experience, but it can be even better with some expert advice.

Guests spend two days on Maui, two days on Hawaii Island (one in Hilo, one in Kona) and one and a half days on Kauai. As I mentioned earlier, due to the port heavy itinerary, it may not be worth paying the service charges to receive the Hawaii Beverage Package as a perk and definitely wouldn’t be worth it for most people to purchase it outright. But depending on how much you plan on drinking, this is something to consider.

Skyline is decorated like something you would see in an art deco style building in New York City. That was all interesting decor, but seemed really out of place for Hawaii. Possibly one of the very best aspects of the Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America Hawaii cruise is the itinerary. It starts in Honolulu on Oahu on Saturday, sails to Maui by Monday morning and stays overnight in Maui. Next, the cruise moves to Hawaii, the Big Island with a day in Hilo followed by a day in Kona. From there, the cruise goes to Kauai with an overnight stay there.

The food and stateroom experience felt budget-level, but the cruise cost was far from being a budget price. Further west, stop in historic Lahaina, which is home to a massive 149-year-old banyan tree along with galleries, shops, and restaurants. As the Pride of America cruise of Hawaii is quite popular, we’ll roughly follow their itinerary as we look at each port. Note that this cruise is the only one that continuously cruises within the Hawaiian islands. Within a week, the Pride of America goes to Maui, Hawaii (Big) Island, Kauai, and then returns to Honolulu for disembarkation on Saturday morning. We help guests find great shore excursions across all Hawaiian Islands.

At peak times of island arrivals and returns from tours, there could be long elevator waits. Many times, we opted to climb up or down four or five deck levels instead of waiting for the elevators. For example, there’s a Gold Rush Saloon, decorated in a rustic, old west, 1800s style. It really felt out of place on a ship that only circles the Hawaiian Islands. Liberty is decorated like something out of Washington D.C.

At the Teppanyaki restaurant, our chef put on a great show, but the food was just okay. As the only U.S. flagged cruise ship, Pride of America sails year round from Honolulu, giving you the freedom and flexibility to holiday on your timetable . Visit four Hawaiian Islands and five ports in seven days whilst you cruise through paradise in style. If you have limited funds for port activities and are not comfortable renting a car, prioritize booking excursions and tours in Maui and Hilo as there is nothing to do near the cruise terminals at those ports. Go here for my top recommendations for shore excursions in Maui and here for my top recommendations for shore excursions in Hilo.

Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa awarded their viewers with 1,000 free NCL cruises in a campaign before the show. Starting from the 16th of May they were giving 20 cruises to winners every day until the 10th of June. From there, head back east and then north for stops at Wailua Falls and the charming town of Hanalei, where you can grab lunch and enjoy views of Hanalei Bay and the verdant green peaks of Kauai's legendary North Shore. There are several scenic beaches—including Secret Beach, Lumahai Beach, and Tunnels Beach—along the way, but parking is roadside, access can be tricky via steep trails and swimming isn't advised due to rough surf.

Review of NCL Pride of America cruise around Hawaii

pride of america cruise reviews

It will be interesting to see how the industry continues to respond to these challenging times and you’d better believe, even though it may not be the exact same experience, I’ll begin cruising again as soon as it’s safe and available. Think a floating Benihana, which makes the egg trick even more impressive (don’t worry if it lands in your hair, it will add a nice shine for your elegant night photos). Depending on which itinerary you choose, you can chill out on the beaches of Bimini, shop Nassau's iconic straw market or go horseback riding by the shore of Carnival's private island, Half Moon Cay. Consider a pre- or post-cruise stay in Charleston to take in the city's historic landmarks, epic dining and charming cobblestone streets. The 2,402-passenger vessel is part of the line's Jewel class of ships. Though the ship launched in 2006, it received a substantial refurbishment in 2017 that included a cabin remodel, new and expanded dining and a design overhaul.

Dining and Drinking Aboard the Pride of America

Actually there are two days each at those islands, which is double what you’d find on other cruises to Hawaii. If you’ve never been to Hawaii or tend to just go to one of the islands, this itinerary is a very good one. The Pride of America itinerary is especially good if you’re short on time and you want to get a taste of each of the four major islands. It’s a very efficient itinerary in that you travel from island to island while you’re having dinner, enjoying evening entertainment and sleeping.

Excursions from the NCL Pride of America

Regular coffee, tea and ice water are generally your only “free” options, except some fruit juices at the breakfast buffet. The package we booked included a free perk of the “Hawaii Beverage Package” which included bottled water, sodas, beer, wine and mixed-drinks up to $15. A 20% service charge was applied to our package prior to the cruise. Carnival Cruise Line offers 10 different five-night sailings from Charleston, South Carolina, aboard the 3,002-passenger Carnival Sunshine.

Technical Issue Onboard Norwegian’s Pride of America Leads to Itinerary Change

We’ll share all the details, but if this is TLDR, the skinny is that the cruise itinerary is excellent, the destinations are amazing, the cabins are adequate, the food experience was sub par. Check out our video overview from our Pride of America cruise of Hawaii. Because we were off the ship at port during the day, it was very helpful to have a gym open 24 hours to squeeze in a few workouts so I could still squeeze into my stretchy buffet cruise pants. This is the first NCL ship I’ve ever sailed on with a 24 hour gym.

The fitness center is by far the largest we’ve ever seen on a cruise ship. It was also one of the most sparsely populated areas of the ship. In addition to the fitness center, water aerobics was offered at the pool. The Pride of America has many stateroom options, from a studio that’s designed for the solo traveler, balcony rooms and for the posh experience, suites. While a limited number of staterooms can accommodate up to eight people, most comfortably accommodate two people. Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America is the only ship that sails roundtrip solely within Hawaii.

Pride of America has three swimming pools, a kid’s pool and six hot tubs. There’s also an Entourage Teen Club, Splash Academy Youth Center and Video Arcade to keep the kids occupied. We spent mornings outside sipping on coffee and evenings gazing at the stars cheers-ing with our BYO champagne and rosé. We were impressed with our Oceanview Balcony stateroom complete with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to a private balcony. It’s perfect for two, had a huge bed and bigger-than-expected bathroom. New – we’ve compiled a detailed list of what to see and do on a cruise at each Hawaiian port.

On her standard 7-night itinerary, Pride of America provides overnights on Kauai and Maui, as well as calls at Kona and Hilo, and an afternoon sailing of Napali Coast. A limited number of beverages are included in the standard cruise fare.

I wiped off the little desk/vanity shelf to remove some powder I had dropped and a lot more dirt and gunk came off than just the powder I spilled. Travelers with a hankering to explore the Hawaiian islands but without the vacation time or money to spend on multiple trips are smart to consider taking a seven-day cruise aboard Norwegian Cruise Line's Pride of America. This means time is maximized in Honolulu, Maui, the Island of Hawaii (Big Island) and Kauai. As an extra bonus, there aren't any days at sea, opening up even more time to explore and participate in shore excursions.

If your vacation at sea has you craving sushi, hit the sushi and sashimi bar on deck 5, in the same area as East Meets West and Teppanyaki. While this small bar and dining area is separate from East Meets West, you can also request the sushi menu while dining at East Meets West (which I’d recommend if you want to order off both menus). Sit at the bar though if you want to watch the talented chefs prepare your rolls. I’d strongly suggest eating breakfast and dinner at one of the sit-down restaurants if you can spare the time. There were some real standouts (the made-to-order pasta, crepe station at dinner and the warm puddings are not to be missed), but I didn’t find the selection or quality of the food as good as I’ve experienced on other NCL ships.

Once you’ve booked, you’ll be emailed a detailed confirmation and the tour operators’ contact information. Always re-confirm your tour arrangements with the company a few days beforehand. The Hawaiian Islands tempt you to disembark the ship every single day! I highly recommend taking island adventures by booking Shore Excursions. The staff delivers a “Freestyle Daily” to your cabin every night with information for the following day.
